Phil brought up Joon The Kingās upcoming documentary about him during todayās Birthday Marathon stream.
Heās talked about this documentary several times in the past, but this timeā¦ it was a bit different.
Whenever Phil would talk about this documentary, previously, it was always in a smug fashion. Phil practically gloated over the fact that Joon was making this doc, and he was especially keen to mention, every single time, that āJoon is not taking information from anyone. Heās doing all of the research himself, and heās staying away from my detractors.ā
However, this is obviously not the case.
When Phil mentioned the doc today, this notion of Joon avoiding outside information was strangely absent. Itās strange, because that notion was the focal point of every other instance in which Phil mentioned the documentary.
Phil seems to know that Joon is speaking to his detractors, and he seemed much less confident today, than whenever he had mentioned it in the past. And to make things worse, Phil has now added caveats to ideas that he had brazenly thrown out in the past.
1.) Phil stated that he will not be reacting to the entire documentary, but only to certain sections that he feels he can āadd context to.ā
2.) Phil stated that he is still interested in doing some sort of interview with Joon after the fact, however, Phil now only wants to do the interview if he feels that Joonās documentary was completely fair to him. Phil followed up that statement, by saying that every documentary that Joon has done up to this point is 100% fair and accurate, however, Phil is still leaving the door open to this documentary being a hit piece, if he doesnāt like how he is portrayed in it.
3.) Phil stated that he wants to avoid his recent history, specifically mentioning mobile gaming and his financial situation, and he only wants to talk about his past in the FGC, and his early Youtube days.
Philās fans were typing in chat, begging him not to do an interview. This is beginning to feel like the end of the Mike Clum arc.
Pay no attention to the Pigroach behind the curtain. All is well.

Either kiss his ass and agree with everything Phil says or youāre a liar who isnāt being fair. There is no in-between. Any context which Phil would feel comfortable adding would be to argue/downplay certain points.
Also, itās already been a year since the Sidescrollers interview. Crazy how time flies

Iām catching up on this fucking nonsense from the podcast, today.
Itās so wild that Phil expects his audience to not have severe whiplash from his back and forth, contradicting narratives over these documentaries, but even more so, that he also expects them to blindly go along with whatever ill-decided decision he makes, even after he begs for their feedback regarding the situation, which he ultimately ignores. Itās just maddening.
Anyway, one of the first things that comes out of Philās mouth during todayās lecture, is that he has a friendly relationship with Joon The King. There was no need to preface this segment with that statement, and all it does it poison the well. It makes people believe that he is behaving abnormally towards this situation, all because heās friendly with the guy.
Phil confirms that he did, in fact, feed Joon information behind the scenes - something which was only speculated before. This is a fantastic insight into Philās psyche. Phil slides into Joonās DMs behind the scenes to feed him cherry-picked information about his past, then Phil comes on stream the next day and brags through his shit-eating grin about how Joon isnāt taking outside information from anyone, not even him, and definitely not from detractors.
The ease with which this guy lies, is un-fucking-believable.
Just in telling us that he gave Joon information, Phil exposed himself as a colluder to a documentary which was supposed to be completely objective, honest, and free from outside sources, but he also put Joonās reputation at stake.
Of course, we know now that Joon is taking information from detractors and other outside sources, but Phil pitched this whole thing, several times, as a one-man show, probably just in an attempt to own the trolls. Phil dragged Joonās name through the dirt, for no fucking reason.
Other important points from this rant

Phil retcons his FGC history. He now claims that he was a nice guy who got along great with everyone, after confessing up and down for weeks that he was a complete asshole to everyone, and he didnāt realize the error of his ways until he was about to leave the community.

Phil claims that there is no one from his FGC era who is around to talk about it. These people donāt exist. Poof, gone. For this reason, you will never hear the true, positive tales about Philās FGC presence.

For absolutely no reason, Phil drudges up an ancient controversy where, according to him, two teenagers tried to extort him into paying for a website that was supposed to be free. He then claims that he doesnāt remember any of the details of this, after very specifically describing the situation.

Phil insists that he cannot defend himself from these accusations, because āthere is no evidence of anything.ā

Phil is setting up this documentary to be rife with misinformation, specifically regarding the FGC portion, which he will be debunking live when he reacts to it. He can do this, he says, because there is no evidence of anything, except for his own account.

Despite saying that ten minutes ago that he was a nice guy, and many of the FGC tales of his infamy are fabricated, he now states that he was a āvile personā and a āpiece of garbageā for the majority of his tenure in the FGC.

He once again says he will not be reacting to any portions of the documentary relation to mobile games, the bankruptcy, and his finances in general. Phil claims that these things are no oneās business, except for his own. Phil states that his narratives regarding these matters, will never change.

He says, if he were to react to these ^ matters, he would spend the entire time debunking all of the accusations, but he will not show proof of anything, because itās no oneās business.

Phil claims that his marriage, the fact that he is married, is proof that heās a changed man with a good heart.

Phil now says, that if he were to talk about his mobile gaming and his finances, that it would harm him and his family. The narrative has changed in a ten minute time window.
- Phil wraps this whole thing up, by saying that Joon (the guy who he said he was friendly with 20 minutes ago) probably thinks he is an asshole and a terrible person, but Phil hopes that Joon will see that Phil is a changed man now, and heās sacrificed popularity to become a honest, meaningful content creator.
Regardless of whether this documentary will be a hit piece or a fluff piece, Phil is scared shitless of it, all the same.
Just like with the Mike Clum documentary, Phil feels the need to get out ahead of the documentary, and be upfront with his awful past, in an attempt to downplay it, in order to bolster his public image.
Phil is mentally ill.

Phil said that Khetās work changed her day off from Wednesday to Thursday (or something like that) and it frazzled her so badly, that she could no longer eat, and couldnāt remember how to do laundry. She supposedly spent an hour messing with the washing machine because it gave her a basic error message, that she could not figure out because she was so frazzled.

This is actually horrible. Iām no Kat fan but this is the second time heās pushed a woman past her limits. This will be disastrous if he doesnāt do a 180 (which he wonāt). Sheās being his mommy and doing fucking EVERYTHING in that house plus avoiding him to keep her sanity. She does not want to be a part of his bullshit. And (this is my theory) I donāt think her work did that to her. A workplace doesnāt switch hours on you and doesnāt let you know. I think she switched hours to get away from him and his shit stream.
On another note, him being 42 and not being able to work a washing machine is the most hilarious thing to me. Motherfucker, that is a basic skill. I mean it doesnāt shock me that he is this useless but holy god how is he this far in life?

Odds are that the story is mostly fabricated.
But if we take Phil at his word he really paints Khet as a helpless autist and himself as a useless retard.
This story is not something you should be sharing on the internet live infront of a bunch of strangers.

Phil goes into a panic over the absence of a 1MM tip during the podcast. While heās nervously jumping back and forth between his email and his Paypal, Phil receives a tip from a fake 1MM. Phil, very quickly, labels this tipper as an impersonator, but then he says something weird regarding his Paypalā¦

This is a very sneaky statement, which implies that Phil can see more than just an email address. This notion is blatantly contradictory to the narrative that Phil has been pushing for the last couple years - that he can only see your email address, and nothing else.

However, in this instance, Phil says that the only way heās able to discern that this is a fake 1MM, is due to the spelling of the name. In this case āONEMinuteMan.ā As you can imagine, some of Philās chatters start to question what theyāre being told, because itās just layers upon layers of contradiction at this point.
Phil notices this, and it causes him to backpedal on his prior claims about only seeing an email address. Phil then says: āWhat I see on Paypal is what people want me to see.ā He then goes down the laundry list of personal identification settings that are visible to everyone, which must be turned off , IF you only want Phil to see your email address, and nothing else.
